Apply in the app
Go to Profile and tap Apply to offer services. Add your portfolio and license, and verify your ID with Stripe. We usually review applications within 24 hours.

Set your services and hours
Add your menu, prices, deposit %, service area and weekly hours. Block time off whenever you need.
Step 3
Accept bookings
You get a push for every request. Accept it and the slot comes off your calendar. The client has already paid.
Step 4
Show up. Get paid.
Mark yourself en route, then in progress, then complete. Your earnings and any tip go to your bank through Stripe.

Common questions
What does GroomMates charge?
Clients pay an 8% service fee on the service, add-ons and travel, added to their total at checkout. It doesn't come out of your price, and neither does Stripe's processing fee. Tips are a separate charge with no fee.
Do I need a license?
Most categories need a state license, and we check it when you apply. If your state doesn't license your service (some braiding work, for example), say so in your application.
Can I do this part-time?
Yes. Set weekly hours that fit, block time off whenever you want, and accept only the bookings you want.
What about taxes?
You're an independent contractor, so you handle your own taxes. Your earnings are in the app, and your payout history is in your Stripe account.
Insurance?
Bring your own. We don't provide liability coverage. If a client files a claim against you in the app, we'll cooperate with discovery.
Can I bring my existing clients onto the app?
Please do. Once you're approved, tell them to download GroomMates and search for your name. They book and pay in the app, and you keep the relationship.
